Located in the scenic town of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Harbourview Montessori was born almost two decades ago, from the dream of founder, teacher and mom, Michelle Morrison.
Today, Harbourview Montessori is located in the old Westmount School, situated on the west bank of the Sydney River. The school has 4 beautiful classrooms, over 2 acres of wild and landscaped grounds, and a staff that is dedicated to the education of the Preschool, Elementary and Middle School children in our care.
Our Preschool Program (aka Children’s House)
The Children’s House program brings together children between the ages of 3 and 6 in a learning environment that feels like home. Our approach aims to prepare your child for life — it is designed to nurture the mind, and to promote care of self and care of environment in our school’s youngest children.
